Facebook Elevate Offers Education, Community and Support for Black and Latinx and Hispanic-Owned Businesses
Facebook BusinessMembers of Black and Latinx and Hispanic communities have to confront the realities of discrimination, violence and injustice on a daily basis. At Facebook, we’re supporting these communities through products and programs that further social and economic empowerment. Earlier this year Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg announced that by 2023 we’ll reach 1 million members of the Black community and 1 million members of the Latinx and Hispanic communities in the US with free training in digital skills through a program called Elevate.
Created in 2018 to accelerate the economic success and impact of entities of color, Elevate serves Black and Latinx and Hispanic small businesses, creators, nonprofits, students and job seekers. It provides education, community, mentorship and empowerment.
Today we launched a new Elevate site that makes it simple for businesses to find the resources they need to help them succeed. Now, you can easily find information about things like:
- Workshops: Virtual coaching sessions on how to optimize your use of Facebook products and beyond
- Live events: Like a Q&A series covering digital marketing, culturally relevant topics and personal experiences
- Circles: Share experiences and receive coaching from a Facebook mentor on your digital marketing strategies
- Career Connections: Connections that can help to raise the economic prospects of students, job seekers and minority-owned businesses
- News: Important announcements, tips, inspiration and more to help keep you informed
You can also stay connected through Elevate's Facebook Group or follow Elevate on Facebook and Instagram for daily doses of inspiration and insights. Bookmark the site so you can stay up to date on the latest workshops, conversations and more.
