Our Continued Support for Businesses Through the Coronavirus Outbreak

Facebook Business

We know that many businesses, especially small businesses, are impacted by the global outbreak of COVID-19. We’ve listened to businesses to understand how we can support them, and are working to provide as much support as possible that meets their needs.

Today we’re announcing:

  • Updates to our Small Business Grants Program: In the US, we’re working with Ureeka, a third-party partner for distributing these grants starting with the 34 locations where our employees live and work. Learn more about additional grant application details.
  • Gift Cards: On Facebook, we’re introducing a place for people to discover digital gift cards for their favorite local restaurants and businesses. This experience is rolling out starting today in the US, and will be available broadly across the US in the coming weeks. Businesses who are interested in promoting their digital gift cards on Facebook can learn how to sign up with one of our partners. Instagram is also working on offering gift cards.
  • Fundraising Capabilities: Starting today, a business owner can now create a personal fundraiser on Facebook for their business and ask their loyal customers for support during this critical time.
  • Temporary Service Changes: To help businesses respond to the COVID-19 outbreak, we’re enabling businesses to announce temporary service changes on their Facebook Page and in searches on Facebook. Learn more about how to make temporary service changes.
