Last year, US retailers hired over 525,000 seasonal employees to help with the holiday rush. “Holiday Employment in the United States from 2000 to 2017,” National Retail Federation and Bureau of Labor Statistics, Oct 2017 We know hiring the right staff is crucial to support increased demand and make the most out of the holiday season. That's why we're improving our job tool to help businesses hire more efficiently and more easily manage job applications.

  1. Share your job listing in Groups: Now, in addition to posting a job listing to your Page, and having it appear in the Jobs bookmark and Marketplace, you can also share your job listing to the Groups you belong to in order to reach more people who may be interested and qualified.

  2. Track applications more efficiently in the Manage Jobs tab: We’re introducing a new set of tools in the Manage Jobs tab on your Page, allowing you to filter, sort and mark candidates as favorites to help you manage applications more efficiently, all on mobile.
  3. Assign a Jobs Manager to handle incoming applications: For businesses where someone who may not be a Page admin is involved in hiring decisions, we’re introducing a Jobs Manager role on your Page so you can designate someone to post jobs and manage incoming applications.

In of 5,000 adults conducted by Morning Consult, one in four people in the US said they searched for or found a job using Facebook. "Economic Impact Report: Small Businesses are Growing with Facebook in the United States." Morning Consult, 2017 Businesses like Bella Bridal Boutique are already seeing results using Facebook' s job tool. The Minnesota bridal boutique used jobs on Facebook to recruit bridal consultants, resulting in three successful hires after attracting 60 applicants. The candidates sourced from Facebook have resulted in more interviews than any other paid job service the boutique used, and as of April 2018, three of the people on the boutique's 13-person team were hired through Facebook.
